The Academic Playhouse is a new, innovative center established in Richmond, Texas. The center was created with the idea of educating young children to build a strong foundation that will guide them through their journey to kindergarten and beyond. We nurture and encourage your child’s creativity and curiosity while they engage in daily structured activities. Here they have the opportunity to explore their new environment and responsibilities while creating fun memories and amazing adventures.

Our mission is to provide children with the opportunity to develop a love of learning by creating a fun and engaging experience in a secure and positive environment.
Learning through play has been proven to be one of the most successful means of educating children in the early stages of life. Play promotes confidence, social skill development, and communication skills. By nurturing your preschooler’s creativity and imagination, they are able to discover their independence and develop positive self-esteem. We strive to provide a positive environment and the necessary tools for your child to be socially, emotionally, and developmentally successful.
Our Teachers
Our teachers are innovative and creative individuals who possess years of experience to share in our classrooms. The Academic Playhouse’s teaching staff is a group of dedicated educators trained in early childhood development, ensuring your child receives the utmost care, both academically and emotionally. They continually further their knowledge by learning new skills and ever-changing strategies necessary for your child’s educational growth. In addition, our preschool program provides an environment where children have access to smaller student-to-teacher ratios, enabling our teachers to focus on the needs of each child.
Our teachers also bring a strong sense of community to the center, with their warm and nurturing dispositions. Our center and our families are fortunate to have their smiling faces and open arms to greet us each day.
Our Programs
The Academic Playhouse happily offers programs to children between 6 weeks and 12 years of age. We offer full-time programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as part-time programs for our three and four-year-old. The Academic Playhouse also provides a part-time before and aftercare program for 5 to 12 years old attending elementary school in the surrounding area. Transportation also provided.
Our programs are designed to challenge your child in a nurturing, playful setting while preparing them for their next steps in their academic careers.
